WEAR RESISTANT

QUARD Abrasion Resistant Steel

Quenched & Tempered Plates: Enhance Productivity Through Superior Workability Made in Belgium

QUARD 500

Quard 500 is a martensitic abrasion resistant steels, with an average hardness of 500 HBW. Its very high resistance to abrasive wear and impact makes it ideal where long service life is required.

With the combination of superior hardness and strength, Quard 500 an optimal choice for the recycling and mining industry.Quard 500 is mainly recommended for the following applications:

QUARD 450

Quard 450 is a martensitic abrasion resistant steels, with an average hardness of 450 HBW. The steel offers very high resistance to abrasive wear and impact granting a longer service life. The combination of very good cold forming properties and excellent weldability makes Quard 450 an optimal choice for most wear applications.
Quard 450 is mainly recommended for the following applications:

Chromium Carbide Overlay Plates

CCO Wear Plates (CCOP) are manufactured with unique process technology to weld chromium carbide hard facing layer onto the substrate.

Advantages

This unique process can achieve the following advantages for our customers:

Customizability

Our CCO Wear-Resistant Plates are available in a range of thicknesses and can be customized according to various overlay alloy/substrate combinations that are produced with either single or double pass overlay layers. Using the open arc welding process, CCOP overlays are prominent in a wide and smooth bead shape with a clearly defined and well-developed pattern of stress cracking, which exhibits outstanding resistance to wear. Visible cracks on the surface are formed to release stress. They exist only in the hard-facing overlay and do not progress into the substrate.

The microstructure of CCO Wear-Resistant Plates is a mixture of high volume hexagonal-shaped chromium carbides in tough austenitic and martensitic matrices.

CCO Plate is the best in the market because the Chromium Carbide Alloy (Flux-Cored Wire) we have been using is from Germany’s Vautid GmbH, the inventor and pioneer of wear-resistant technology.
